Description

Workshop Theme: 

  • 1 hour hybrid sharing session of LAE
  • Duration: 1 hour, 150-400 pax
  • Zoom set up and session recording

  • i) latest development and opportunity in the LAE
  • ii) Core drone technology
  • iii) Drone application in multi-disciplinary industry
  • 2- hour trial session
  1. i) Practice  (50 pax)
  • W3m x L3m x H2m transparent dome will be provided
  • approximately 50 participants will take part in a drone activity session organized into six groups, with around eight players per group. 
  • Each group will engage in one-hour sessions where participants will operate drones in teams of two (e.g., AB, CD, EF). 
  • A total of six drones will be provided for the activity. 
  • Under supervision, participants will practice fundamental drone control skills, including 
  • i) ascending and descending, 
  • ii) forward and backward movement, and 
  • iii) circular turns within a designated tent area.
  • The session aims to promote teamwork, coordination, and hands-on experience in safe drone operation.
  1. ii) Timed Game Challenge (50 pax)
  • participants will engage in a timed drone competition featuring (2) parallel tracks. 
  • Each pilot will complete a precision flight course designed to test control accuracy and speed. The sequence includes:
  • 1) take-off, 
  • 2) navigating through a large lower circle, 
  • 3) passing a higher circle, 
  • 4) flying through a tunnel, 
  • 5) performing a turnaround, and 
  • 6) returning to the landing site. 
  • The order of team participation will be determined by a lucky draw.
  • Groups will compete to achieve the shortest completion time while maintaining stable flight and safe operation. 
  • This activity encourages focus, spatial awareness, and fine motor coordination, providing students with an exciting challenge that combines technical skill with friendly competition.
  • Certificate and souvenir will be provided to all participants.

*For safety assurance, each drone is enclosed within a soft silicone soccer-style protective case. This design minimizes impact risk and enhances safety for participants and nearby attendees during operation, especially in enclosed spaces such as the transparent dome area. 

**The drones used in this activity are the same models adopted by 10+ schools and institutions for STEM training and space-themed competitions, ensuring both reliability and educational value in hands-on learning.
